- Undock the Toolbox Panel
- Select Terrain from the upper listbox
- Depending on desired outcome select from lower listbox
- Raise: Increases the elevation and amount of terrain
- Lower: Reduces raised terrain
- Level: Makes all the terrain a specific elevation
- Erode: Smooths out the terrain
- Diffuse Paint: Allows the application of paint to the terrain
- Diffuse Blur: Blurs the edges of color applied to the terrain
- Material Paint: Allows the painting of materials to the terrain
- Object Plant: Spawns copies of selected entity
- Terraform: Applies all of the determined characteristics of a predetermined terraform
- Apply your outcome using a brush mode
- Click the Tool Options button at the bottom of the Toolbox Panel to expand the toolbox's Tool Options panel and discover brush modes.
- Each brush mode also has specific options for different desired outcomes
- Paintbrush
- Applies in a circle your selected outcome
- You can select Radius and Hardness
- Pathbrush
- Create a path by selecting points which you apply by clicking apply
- Has Radius, Horizontal Hardness, and Vertical Hardness as modifiers
- Use the Apply button to apply your modifiers
- Clear Path will delete your current Path
- Create a path by selecting points which you apply by clicking apply
- Tile Edit
- Apply your modifier to an entire square, "Tile", of terrain
- Has a Hardness option indicating the % of effect to apply
- Preview Brush
- Allows you to see what specific elevations would be without applying it
