    Hi,

To help me better understand where the issue lies, could you outline the steps you take to launch the app and what you see/experience after each step?

Got it. Ok, let's try manually installing some files that, under certain cases, Steam doesn't install.

    1. In Steam, right click on Simmetri in your apps list
    2. Select Properties from the popup menu. The "Simmetri - Properties" window should appear.
    3. Select the Local Files tab at the top of the window
    4. Next, click the Browse Local FIles button. A window displaying Simmetri's installed files should appear
    5. In the file browser, find and double-click the "_CommonRedist" folder
    6. Next double click the "vcredist" folder
    7. Double click the "2017" folder
    8. Finally, double click the "vc_redist.x64.exe" file
    9. Follow the prompts that appear. If its not installed, you'll need to click Install. If it is, then click Repair.
    10. After it completes, reboot your computer
    11. Finally, launch Steam and try relaunching Simmetri

Let me know the results and we can take it from there.

Will do. Thanks for your patience.

So it looks like the app is failing immediately when it's launched making me think its missing a system DLL.

Try re-opening its local files folder (Steps 1-4 above) and running Simmetri.exe directly. If there's any missing DLL, it should display a dialog.

Another question for you: what version of Windows are you running? Are you up-to-date with the updates? Also, are you running a particular regioned version of Windows (like European region, etc)?

You haven't caused any problems. Don't feel bad! Happy to help.

So, it looks like Simmetri isn't working because you are running Windows 7. Simmetri requires Windows 10 so it expects DLLs as they exist in Windows 10.

Sorry about that. If you can't upgrade to Windows 10 (which is just as good as Windows 7 IMO), definitely reach out to Steam for a refund. Again apologies and thanks for working with me for an (albeit) unsatisfying conclusion.

Unfortunately, I can't upgrade to windows7 because I have a few dozens of other programs I reached to steam for a refund. if you can make Simmetri run on Win7 IT WILL BE AWESOME. But anyways thanks for helping it was my fault to not read required specifications.i'll surely buy again if Win7 version comes out
